Competition at Cholmondeley 2010
The World's best marques compete at Cholmondeley, from pre-war Le Mans
and Grand Prix winning Bentleys and Bugattis, through to the Bentley
Motors famous 2003 Le Mans winning Speed 8, the latest Lamborghinis and
a selection from the Tom Wheatcroft Tribute.
Pageant favorites
include Michael Schumacher's Benetton, Graham Hill and Jackie Stewart's
1964 BRM 261, a 1971 March 711, 1976 Malboro McLaren, 1977 Hesketh, the
first Patrick Head designed Williams FW06, a McLaren M1 B, Pagani
Zonda, BMW CSL "Batmobile", 1950s Aston Martins, Mercedes Benz
Gullwing, Maserati Birdcage T61, Napier Bentley and the Lagonda V12.
Rally
stars such as the Audi Quattro, MG Metro 6R4, Suburu Legacy Works Car
and Porsche 911 SCRS have all tried their luck round the track in the
last couple of years.
The Pageant of Power has encouraged
various vehicles to be repatriated after long exiles including the DAF
Super Saloon, the V8 Beetle and 1975 Baby Bertha
In addition to
those competing on the track the Cholmondeley Paddock Enclosure
showcases some of the finest and most fascinating machinery designed
throughout the 19th Century culminating in exceptional designs of the
21st Century, showcased in the Tom Wheatcroft Tribute.
