I particularly enjoyed the Sporting Bears Charity enclosure. I fulfilled a dream of a drive in a Jaguar XJ220 on Saturday and think the work they do is amazing.
Hi, I am writing to say, what a great idea for great causes! I was very grateful to be able to get to ride in the Westfield Megablade. The driver was great and nice and friendly. Thank you!...sorry Ive forgotten your name ! My friend got to be a passenger in the Porsche Boxster and was really impressed. My husband and his friend chose the pace car, and their faces were gleaming when they got back! We would just like to thank you for the opportunity to be able to go out with you, in your precious cars, pride and joys. Hope to see you next year.... and keep up the good work! Cheers!!!!!!
So when you have thrilled at the amazing speeds on the track and mere, gasped at the aerial displays and waiting for the Military Battle to unfold why not check out the Sporting Bears Dream Ride cars at Lodge Corner and put a smile on your face in a car while your donation goes to Help Harry, the 2013 CPoP Charity.
Star Cars
From Aston we have modern Vantages with the 1958 2/4 mkIII and a DBR2 racing Aston (well a replica but unless you know the racers now this is the closest to experience the amazing cockpit) then the younger 50th Lamborghini cars will be the Countach, Gallardo and Murcielago V10s & V12 rarity breathing in on the Cheshire roads!
Sunday will see the return of our 1932 8litre LeMans Bentley, no match for the flames of Brutus, but damn close, so join us as we take you out as the Bentley Boys did in the classic era, sitting high up behind the huge bonnet and listen above the 8litre for the squeaky horn! This car is still rallied across Europe today and one family commented we thought we were going for a gentle ride in an old Bentley, well the driver made the Bentley Boys proud and the family were smiling all the way.
For regular visitors to Dream Rides, lets not forget the return of the Lola T70 spyder, wear goggles and always keep your mouth closed when 700bhp in 500kgs takes to the roads! Favourites like the Lotus Elise and Exige, Nissan GTR, Lancia Integrale and the Porsche 911 Rally Car with a rather special Corvette too, so come along to the Dream Rides area and donate to have a lasting memory. Lots of other cars on each day with a couple of surprises to be announced.
Sporting Bears Motor Club established the "Bears", as we are affectionately known, in 1989 as a dedicated group of classic car and sports car enthusiasts with one primary aim - to raise money for children's charities through our own social and touring events, and to support other charitable events. Since the Club was formed in 1989 we have been very active and have raised in excess 1,020,000 for Children's Charities in the UK.
We are proud to be supporting Help Harry with CPoP this year.
