"As the
light fades, the excitement builds, the fireworks explode and the cheers
from five thousand people merge with the sound of one of the countrys
finest orchestras.
Its an unbeatable combination: the virtuosic Manchester
Camerata, a selection of everyones favourite music, stunning fireworks
and the magnificent setting of Cholmondeley Castle."
"This
summers concert will be my eleventh with the Manchester Camerata at
Cholmondeley Castle. And the reason we come back every year is the same
reason so many choose Cholmondeley every year: the atmosphere!
Each year we choose a different theme for the concert. Theres always something from stage or screen, favourites from the opera or ballet, well-loved classical items and of course a Last Night of the Proms finale. Last year we were delighted to be joined in Tchaikovskys 1812 Overture by a brace of the loudest field guns one could wish for, to make for a really explosive ending!
I really hope you will be with us to be part of this thrilling experience next summer.
