This year’s Cholmondeley Pageant of Power (CPOP) will see Dougie Lampkin MBE, world-renowned trials bike legend with 12 world titles to his name, appear on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June to show off his extraordinary skills.

Ahead of his debut at the event, Red Bull UK’s longest serving athlete showcased his nail-biting bike control at the Media City piazza in Manchester. Dougie was joined by a range of extreme machinery representing the varied elements of this year’s CPOP from Eighties poster cars and American muscle cars to Lotus icons and track stars.

These vehicles included the following:

-          2015 Lotus Evora GTE

-          BMW i8

-          BAC Mono

-          1974 Cologne Capri

-          2002 V8 Star

-          2003 Opel Astra DTM

-          1969 Lamborghini Miura S ‘Jota’

-          1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302

Dougie said: “It was a great experience to ride around the iconic Media City piazza and put myself to the test in a different setting. It served as a great warm up before I take to the diverse Cholmondeley grounds on the 13th and 14th June.”

James Hall, event director, added: “Dougie’s showcase really put the piazza in a different light and proved popular with passers-by of all ages. We look forward to seeing this great world-champion put his skills to the test again next week.”
