1968 FORD ESCORT

This car was not seen on a rally until May 1969, when it tackled the Acropolis rally.  Built to the self-same original specifiication as other Escorts in the same batch, its early and invaluable career was evolved behind the scenes, either as a test car, or as a practice car for the other events the team cars tackled during 1968 and early 1969.

1953 ASTON MARTIN DB 2/4

This car was manufactured in 1953 and was entered in various sprints, hillclimbs, gymkhanas and economy runs from 1954 - 56.  It has been at Le Mans classic on 3 occasions including 2 with return journeys to Lockerbie.

1926 MASERATI TIPO 26

The Maserati Tipo 26 was a model of Grand Prix race car and was the first car built by Italian manufacturer Maserati, for a total of 11 units, between 1926 and 1932.

The Tipo 26 originated from a Grand Prix car that Alfieri Maserati had designed for Diatto: when the collaboration between Maserati and Diatto ended, Alfieri took his design to the Bologna workshop that he had set up with his brothers in 1914.

The design of the Tipo 26 consisted of a steel ladder-type frame supporting a supercharged inline-8 engine with a three-speed manual transmission and an aluminum two-seater bodywork made by Medardo Fantuzzi.

Jayne Kay (21) is the driver of the 2000bhp Model-T Fuel Altered, sponsored by Wheel Whores. The car will reach speeds of up to 230+mph in around 6.5 seconds. Jayne is currently working on a step up into the to top league of Drag Racing, to race a 300mph Top Fuel Funny Car. 

1969 LOLA T142

Alan Fraser Racing bought this car new in 1969 for Keith Holland to drive in the 1969 season.  They finished 5th in the guards F5000 Championship that year and even were the overall winner of the Spanish Grand Prix at James.  In 2001 the resoration of this car was documented in Channel 4's "Salvage Squad".  In 2002 it was purchased by the present owner who had the car completely dismantled and properly race-prepared by a professional race-specialist. It is in excellent condition and race-ready.

1948 ALTA JAGUAR 

This car is one of only 9 post war racing carsbuilt by Geoffrey Taylor of Alta Cars.  This Alta was intended to be the 4th Formula 1 Alta ("GP4").  It has unique rubber block suspension designed by Alta, it now has a 2 seater Sports-Racing bodywork and a 3.4 litre Jaguar C Type engine.  Building of the car was started in 1948 its early history after it left the factory is still uncertain however, it seems that it had a period racing in Ireland in the 1950's and 1960's although efforts to trace its earlier history are still on-going.
