1969 HONDA CR 750
Posted in News | April 28th 2015
This Honda CR750 has many original works parts fitted and closely resembles the works bikes famous for winning the Daytona 500 in 1969. Various changes have had to be made to conform to current noise and safety regs. This bike is being rebuilt with a new race spec engine ready for challenging the 2015 championship.
1926 FLYING MILLYARD
The engine was made around a pair of Pratt & whitney aircraft cylinders and has a 5 3/4 inch bore and 5 3/4 inch stroke. Lubrication is dry sump with a 1 gallon tank integral with the petrol tank. Wheel base is 8 ft and the overall height is 4 ft to the bars. A four speed hand shift gearbox is geared for 120mph @ 2000 rpm in top.
2009 VIPER V10
The astonishing V10, 500bhp Millyard Viper has recorded over 200mph in its first speed test - and its creator has set his sights on achieving 250mph.
2006 DUCATI DESMOSEDICI
Desmo engines use a mechanical shutting of the valves rather than leaving it up to springs helping efficiency at high engine speeds. The immensely powerful 989 cc engine produces in excess of 230bhp and enables the bike to reach speeds of up to 215 mph. Far from the easiest bike to ride, this ex factory Ducati Moto GP (Sete Gibernau) will be put through its paces in June by rider Andrew Caddick.
THE SUZUKI HAYABUSA DRAG BIKE
This Suzuki Hayabusa, superstreet drag bike will be demonstrating over the CPOP weekend. It's fastest time to date is 7.22 seconds at 205mph on fully street legal tyres.
