- THE RED HAWKS
Making their first appearance at the Pageant of Power in 2011 - The Red Hawks - made their air show debut last year. Flying two French-built red-and-white Fournier RF4D's motor gliders, the Red Hawks immediately made an impression with a graceful formation aerobatic routine, choreographed to The Verve's Bittersweet Symphony, with red wingtip smoke delineating their manoeuvres of waltz-like formation loops, barrel-rolls and stall-turns
The Red Hawks are not about power and speed but of precision and timing as the pilots use their experience and flying skills to get the best out of their aircraft.

THE GREAT WAR DISPLAY TEAM (GWDT)
Bringing alive the early days of air warfare with a fabulous mix of aircraft from another age. The Great War, now more frequently called the First World War, raged from 1914 to 1918, and saw the development of air power from small beginnings to the vital tool of any battle that it was to become. Powered flight was just eleven-years-old when the aeroplane went to war.
The Great War Display Team will re-enact typical scenarios to simulate aerial combat during World War One. Dog-fights develop, bombs are dropped and aircraft shot down, departing the scene trailing smoke. Among the GWDT was a Nieuport 17, Royal Aircraft Factory SE5A, Sopwith Triplane, Sopwith Pup, Fokker Dr 1 Triplane and Junkers CL 1.
- TEAM ABARTH
World Champion aerobatics from a master - Mark Jefferies is nine times British Aerobatic champion (at all levels), ranked Top 10 in the World with a third place at the 2011 World Masters Aerobatic Championship, British Aerobatic team member 10 times. Mark is Abath Cars' UK Brand Ambassador and flies an Extra 330SC, the latest, high performance, purpose-designed and fully certified aerobatic aircraft; performing 'advanced, unlimited, freestyle' aerobatics.
- DEFENCE HELICOPTER FLYING SCHOOL
Nearby RAF Shawbury has supported the Pageant of Power since it began and we are delighted to welcome them back this year. The task of the Defence Helicopter Flying School (DHFS), an independent unit formed at RAF Shawbury in 1997, is to provide basic single-engine helicopter training for the three services, and advanced twin-engine helicopter training for RAF aircrew and other special courses for the three services and overseas countries.
This year the DHFS provided support to the Army in the form of troop insertions during the combat power display. Then a Squirrel HT 1 conducted a Tri-Service Helicopter Agility Competition (Army vs Navy vs RAF). The Search and Rescue Trainnig unit (SARTU) conducted a SAR Role Demonstration on Deer Park Mere unsing a Bell 412 Griffin HAR 2.
